PowerPlant 1500 U3
The PowerPlant 1500 U3 has two outputs that can be used alternatively: On the one hand, there is an earth-free output, which, in addition to its filtering effect, effectively interrupts earth loops and thus prevents hum interference.
A new feature is an earth-referenced output that allows the reference potential to be set by trim-pots. Mains-related potential differences between the unit connected to the PowerPlant 1500 U3 and the other components of the system can thus be compensated.
This makes it possible for the first time to avoid equalising currents on the ground lines of the connecting cables. On request, we supply an easy-to-use measuring device and the necessary measuring cables for setting the earth potential compensation. However every high-impedance multimeter will do the job. The gain in sound quality from this measure alone is enormous. Even in a minimalist system with two units, this is clearly audible. In a high-quality, complex system, the PowerPlant 1500 U3 should become an indispensable component. Due to its high output power of up to 1500 watts, the PowerPlant 1500 U3 is suitable for all kinds of audio and video equipment, explicitly also for power amplifiers and high-quality projectors and large-screen TVs. In high-quality stereo-systems we recommend it for use in front of the analogue preamp as the preamp is most sensitive to high-frequency interference.

The taiwanese specialist hifi journal u-audio has tested the PowerPlant 1500 U3 and is very impressed:
“How is the sound with the PP 1500 U3? Not only is the sound of the piano more defined across the whole pitch range, but also the low sounds have a mightier touch and noticeable higher texture. This leads to a better sense of power and substance. There is more warmth in the midrange, the sound is richer and the texture of the strings is livelier and richer. Simply put, the PP 1500 U3 enables the transmission of more details, which leads to a richer, atmospherical sound.”
Further:
“The PP 1500 U3 does not reduce liveliness, quite the opposite, it allows the music to be more dyamic and vivacious, which is surprising!”
