Power
PowerStar, PowerPlant and Ampère keep the sound of your music system clear and clean. They reliably filter out mains noise and hash which disturbs the music reproduction. The sound of your system becomes more natural because everything that comes out of the loudspeaker as music was once electricity from the mains socket.
From a stereo system, we basically “hear” the electricity from the wall socket. In the dvices the mains voltage is converted in the mains-transformer and then rectified, filtered and, if necessary, regulated. The music signal is then modulated onto the DC voltages obtained in this way.
High-frequency interference components from the mains can often pass through the transformers and filter stages quite easily and thus become part of the music signal. This increases the noise floor and creates new interference products in the audio-band by intermodulation. These interferences have a considerable influence on the sound quality of the system. That is why we have developed a modular system for the power supply and filtering of a hi-fi or AV system.
